It’s time to get to know one of the Goodies For Gifts Foodtrepreneurs/Mothers a little bit better. Sheila Mains is the Founder of Sheila G. Brands, LLC, the brainchild behind the The Original Brownie Brittle. I call her brownie brittle the “potato chip of goodies” because you cannot eat just one, or two, or three! This stuff is great and so is Sheila.

Are you a Mother? If so, tell us about your kids.
I have two children - my daughter Rachael who is 32, my son Devin who is 35, and two beautiful granddaughters Marissa 15 and Juliana who will be 3 in June.
Why is Mother’s Day so special to you?
It’s special to me because I am so fortunate to still have my mom – who is 92.
What is the most difficult challenge you face as a woman who runs her own business?
I never seem to get caught up!
What is your favorite part of your job?
Definitely the R&D part. I LOVE thinking up new products, testing them, and seeing the reaction from friends, family and co-workers. They all know I have no ego – so if it’s a bad idea, they tell me that too – I can take the criticism. (Of course, the cleanup part leaves a little to be desired).
Currently, Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle is available in three addicting flavors- Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Toffee Crisp. My husband recently sent a sampler pack of this brownie brittle to say thank you to the Sales Support team in his office. From what we hear, they relished in this unique afternoon snack!
